Peel Wood Fired Pizza Opens at Plum Creek

We welcome the owners and chefs of Peel Wood Fired Pizza to the Park at Plum Creek.

Jamie Henderson recently accepted an invitation to sit on the advisory board for the Architectural Technology Program at Ranken Technical College. 

The architectural technology program at Ranken is a four year accredited program where students learn architectural design, engineering basics, construction methodology and computer drafting using CADD and BIM technology. 

The advisory board, with twelve members from the design and construction industry, assists and advises staff on curriculum development in order to comply with accreditation requirements and current industry practices.  Ranken Technical College is located in north St. Louis and was founded in 1907 by David Ranken, Jr. as a non-profit higher education institution.

Henderson Associates Architects Announces LEED Accredited Professional Status
Interior designer Lynn Warren and graduate architect Erin Walters, with Henderson Associates Architects, Inc. in Edwardsville Illinois, have both achieved LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) status.  

“The LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings.  LEED Professional Accreditation distinguishes building professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED certification process.  LEED APs have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System.  LEED is a registered trademark of the U.S. Green Building Council, (USGBC) a non profit organization of the building industry working to promote buildings and communities that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work." -text from USGBC website.

Ms. Warren has a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and more than 20 years experience in the architectural and design industry.  Ms. Walters has a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas.

The Gardens at SIUE
The Lantern in the Pines is an Asian inspired pergola designed by Henderson Associates Architects for The Gardens at SIUE.

The scent of cedar and a sense of stillness accompany visitors to this recently completed structure. Nestled within mature pine trees, the Lantern in the Pines is the focal point and presentation platform for a landscaped amphitheater.

The Lantern in the Pines is the vanguard for an ambitious master plan in the works by the Garden's at SIU-E.

Henderson Associates Architects is proud to be a partner in this effort.

House warming for The Goddard School
Located at 801 Arbor Vitae, Edwardsville, IL 62025, the Goddard School construction is complete! The building was designed by HAA and the school's Grand Opening is coming soon!

The Glen Carbon Centennial Library named as one of three libraries in this year's Best Small Library in America sponsored by the Library Journal and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This prestigious award was founded to encourage and showcase the exemplary work of libraries with a population of 25,000 or less.
